A few changes have taken affect as of July 1, 2010 in the State of Vermont.

1.) New Hires must be reported no later than 10 days after the employees start date (date in which employee first performed work).

2.) The taxable wage base for unemployment will be increased to $13,000 as of January 1, 2011. Another increase is scheduled for January 1, 2012 in the amount of $16,000.
